It
becomes rather difficult for anyone to get a full
frontal view of the Siam Paragon completely as it is
adjacent to the Bangkok Sky trains and thus the bridge
and the pillar obstruct the view partially.
The food court of the Siam paragon is huge and houses
around eighty restaurants and food pavilions which are
again divided into different segments like Food Court,
Gourmet Market, Food Hall Gallery, Food Hall and the
Take Home.
Apart from the food pavilions, the Siam Paragon also
features shopping floors for fashion clothes, beauty,
watches, jewelry, audiovisual equipment, digital
equipments, art and handicrafts to fashionable interior
shops, luxury lifestyle products and also Italian sports
cars. Most of the shops in Siam Paragon contain high
quality products from foreign descent. Visitors can have
a delightful shopping (or window shopping) experience
like nowhere else in Bangkok.
The Siam Paragon Mall also offers various other
activities such as Cinema, Karaoke, Bowling and Fitness
which can be found on the top floors.
Underwater Ocean World
The
most fascinating thing about the Siam Paragon is the
underwater Ocean World. The Ocean World is an amazing
place and shouldn't be missed. It is situated in the
basement of Siam Paragon and costs 750 Baht (adult) and
600 Baht (child) to enter. There are 7 sections to
visit, with each containing a different theme. The
aquariums contain sea creatures (e.g sharks) and
also smaller colorful fish. There are also several
other shows shown regularly such as "Penguin Feed" and
the "Shark Feed" twice a day (usually at 12:30 / 16:00).
The Underwater Ocean World in Siam Paragon is definitely
a great place to hang out with kids and the whole
family.

Historical Facts about Siam
Paragon
The Siam Paragon was formerly known as Siam
Intercontinental Hotel. This hotel was brought down
after its
lease period was over in 2002. Formerly it was also the
royal parkland of the Srapatum Palace. The land is now
owned by the Bureau of the Crown Property. This shopping
mall is located adjacent to the Siam main BTS station,
thus while the mall was taking shape everyone on the sky
train could watch the workers building a part of
history.
It took almost 3 years to complete the Siam shopping
mall and when it was finally opened for the public there
still were workers who were putting on the finishing
touches to this grand mall.
How to get there
The Siam Paragon is located right in
the city center. The best way of getting there is by
getting on the
BTS Sky Train and getting off at Siam. Notice the
signs which point to the Siam Paragon.
