Shopping in a Mall is one thing but experiencing the vibe and temprament of a Market is a whole different story. Markets in Thailand are very popular amongs locals and also tourists. Goods can be bought cheaply and even fighting for a better price is possible. Do remark however that nearly everything sold in Markets (especially clothes) might not be authentic even if the owner claims they are. 

  Find at which places your desired item is available.

The Chatuchak weekend market in Bangkok is one spot that is a must have in your travel itinerary. The market which is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8 am to 6 pm is inhabited not only by tourists but also by the locals, and other visitors to Thailand. This has eventually developed into the world’s biggest weekend market selling the smallest of goods to antique artifacts.

The Patpong Night Market is a very popular tourist destination as it features many small shops selling all different kinds of goods at a cheap price such as Shirts, DVDs, Thai traditional stuff etc. The part which Patpong is most known for however is it's wild Sex show offers. Located next to Lumphini Stadium, the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, as the name itself suggests is a night market, with a loud and cheerful ambience.This is a well organized Market that can be found right in the heart of Bangkok. The goods primarily sold there are mostly food, clothes, artifacts and other interesting stuff. This market is open from 3pm to around midnight.

The Khao Sarn road is a must see for everyone visiting Thailand. Not only will you be able to experience great shopping possibilities but also enjoy the atmosphere that isn't usual to Bangkok. Taling Chan Floating Market

 

 



The Taling Chan Floating Market is located on the canal of "Khlong Chak Phra". It can be visited only on weekends from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Different types of Foods and Flowers can be bought in the Market. Between 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM live Thai traditional music is performed. This market was introduced to honor the King's 60th birthday.

Located in China Town, this is Bangkok's biggest Flower Market. Nearly every kind of flower which can be found in Thailand is sold there for very little money. The Sampen Market which is situated in China Town is a whole sale market. Mainly vendors from small shops in Bangkok pass by there to buy 100s of Items to put them up for sale later on.
