Route 66 Club Bangkok

Route 66 is probably the most famous and beloved club amongst Thais and Foreigners in Bangkok. It features three separate sections in which different type of music is played. The first section, called “Route West” plays Techno / Trance Music. Moving along a bit further you will find Thai Pop and going towards the end you will hear American Hip Hop beats. Most popular is the Hip Hop Section, which gets filled fast and to ensure a good table it is advised to arrive early (10 pm weekdays, 9 pm weekends).
Hip Hop songs are very popular amongst the (younger) Thai people and you will be hearing it in nearly any club you go.

Route 66 Club Facts

Location

Route 66 is one of many clubs situated in the RCA (Royal City Avenue) which is a long street where clubs can be found left and right. The best way to get there is by Taxi. Mostly all of them know where RCA is.

To be a bit more precise, RCA is located in Rama 9 (in Thai “Praram 9”) and is not far away from Ratchada. It will take about 10 minutes to get there by Taxi from the city center. Once you have arrived at the RCA entrance all that remains is to walk down the road.

Requirements:

Before you head out clubbing, make sure you comply with everything on this following list!

- Bring with you your ORIGINAL Passport or ID.
- You must be at least 20 Years old.
- No slippers, flip flops or open shoes.
- Wear long pants or if long shorts then it must fit the style.

As long as you dress nicely and bring your original papers you will be admitted entrance.

Beverages:

Of course you go to a club for a reason so here are some Infos on the Alcohol beverages. In Thailand you will find that everyone has a Whiskey bottle standing on their table, mostly from the Brand “Johnny Walker’s” Red or Black Label". It’s also practical as you will be able to share the bottle amongst your friends which is a common thing to do in Thailand. Should you however not fancy Whiskey you can just get something else at the Bar.

To wrap everything up, Route 66 is a great place to spend you evening. Its nice architectural structure, great facilities and decent prices make it one of Bangkoks finest places to go clubbing to. Furthermore it’s a safe place as it is under constant patrol by the bouncers indoors and the police outdoors.
