means getting yourself a Serviced Apartment. WIth no
doubt the most astonishing buildings in the city are
mostly high class apartments. The difference
between a Serviced and a regular Apartment is as the
name reviels an apartment which benefits from different
kinds of services such as weekly maid, pre-installed UBC
(satelite TV to receive English channels), laundry
service and a full time reception. It can very well be
compared to a Hotel with the feel of an Apartment and in
which you can reside in for a longer period of time.
Providing you stay longer you can pay your rent per
Month and not per Night. This whole luxurious experience
has it's price however. Apartment rates vary from 15,000
to 300,000 Baht per Month depending of course on the
size and location.
Additionally it is possible to book an apartment for
less than one Month. Some places offer their rooms for
min. 1 Night.

vs. Serviced Apartment
Serviced apartments are similar to hotels,
just with the sole difference that the room belongs to
you and you may arrange it in the way you like. A
serviced apartment in comparison to standard apartments
has more features such as a swimming pool, fitness
center, maid etc. Serviced apartments are usually
furnished and can be booked on daily, monthly or yearly
basis.
A standard apartment in Bangkok is in most cases
furnished but on request to the owner sometimes the
furniture is taken out. Furthermore there will be no
24/7 reception and very limited resources. A
subscription for the Internet connection and English TV
programs must in some cases be made by yourself, thus
tying you to a 1 year contract. Some premises however do
have a shared internet package which they sell onward to
