Finding your perfect place to stay in
Bangkok is relatively easy as the choices are wide and
the costs are reasonable. Western multi star hotels can
be found nearly anywhere scattered around the city
center as well as apartments. Depending on how much you
would like to spend on accommodation in Bangkok, the
hotels or apartments which are located a bit further
away from the center are also considerable. The rule
applies, as to any other metropolitan city, the further
away from the center, the cheaper the cost will be. If
it's luxury you are after, then finding a place on
Sukhumvit Road would be an ideal choice.
Which Area
to stay at
Naturally it is best to find a place right in the city
center on the Sukhumvit Road or nearby. From
there you can easily transport throughout

capital by using
the
Sky train or
Metro. Nearly every service runs
through the city center and it
is well thought out for anyone to feel 'at home'.
Even coaches which depart from
Ekkamai are located on the Sukhumvit Road, accessible by
the
Sky Train. All of this has its price
however. Hotels right downtown, even the ones with no
stars can be expensive. If spending between 2000 –
10,000 Baht ($60 - $300) per Night
doesn't suit you, try
looking for something that is a bit more outside. Other
good locations are: Ratchada, Rama 9,
Silom, Sala Daeng, Nana (near Red
Light district) and Ladprao. These places are all
about 10 – 15 minutes away from the center.
Cost of
Stay
Known 4-5 Star Hotels in the city center cost about
6,000 ($200) Baht per Night. The ones found a bit
farther away will range from about 600 Baht ($18) to
1000 Baht ($30) per Night. If you are unsure where to
